Taking the plunge!

It was summer 2011 and I feel in love! I had always wanted one. It would have been my first time with one. And after I saw it, there was nothing else I could think of.  My husband bought me my first Canon Rebel! I have always had a small point and shoot at my side for many, many, many years. Now it was time for the big toy. There are many more lens and memory cards and batteries and gadgets and bags and flashes and lens and straps and lens covers that I need....(just to name a few items on the wish list) But for now I love playing with this camera. I have enjoyed catching candid and not so candid moments on it. I love the people I have had in front of it and dream of many, many more to snap, shoot, capture, and make memories for.  I decided to take the plunge and start a business. Other times its hectic and I never feel like I will get it all done. Clients, whether they are family or friends, come first when I sit down to work. I like to say I have business hours, but in all honesty I work until I have product in hand to my clients. Filing and making and filing and setting up galleries and getting a number... I Amarillo Photographer

I've been busy, ya'll!! I filed with Potter and Randall. I have a Tax ID. I am starting to feel more and more like a business!! I have had some hiccups along the way, but I have learned EVERY successful person/business has some bumps in the road! Fortunately for me it isn't about how many "likes" or "mentions" I get, but it is about loyalty to me as a friend and business owner. I have repeat clients. I have family and friends that call on me to capture a sweet moment for them. And I have made friends along the way. Unfortunately, I have lost friends along the way. But were they really my friends to begin with? Probably not. And that's ok!! I want to say THANK YOU a million times to everyone that has stood in front of my camera and has given me the opportunity to capture life and make it stand still.
